TREASURER’S REPORT by Jack Jungbauer
- Jack: Taxes filed waiting to be accepted.
- Jack reviewed budget
- Booked Boatworks for Annual Meeting – Thursday Oct 17th. Meg, Laura, and Katie to post save the date
PRESIDENT’S REPORT- Meg Rapheal
- 2024 Annual meeting Oct 17.
- Delisting Party will be part of meeting
- Milfoil treatment - Steve will provide a proposal to treat/Rick prepared DNR permit. Last time treated 2018.
- Water Management District fund but cannot be used for EWM. They may only be used for projects related to water quality and phosphorus loading.
- Meeting with Rick Donovan to plan for treatment and thoughts for next year
-apply for a grant with the DNR to treat EWM
-apply for a variance to treat more than the 90 acres (this would be in April of each year)
-Working with Steve:
-Steve reviews the lake in early Spring, we should ask him if we can join him on the lake review.
-Steve also reviews the lake in early June, we should have an idea of our thoughts on the lake prior to his review and again ask to ride with him.
-Is there a later review date? We should make sure we know Steve’s schedule.
-request the history of individual owner treatment plans (this may help provide us with support re: an increased acreage coverage request)
-do we have a “weed champion”
- Treatment done July 2nd. Treatment communications
- Meg saved all files on the Google drive
- Zebra Mussel posting: Laura to reach out to Chris from AIS (Aquatic Invasive Species)
- Art crawl on Bald Eagle – no updates
VICE-PRESIDENT’S REPORT- Joe Boeser
- Lake association outreach for involvement: Joe Will reach out between May 1-15 to lake associations.
- Discuss summary of actions BEAA has taken to get to a delisting status. Minnesota Bound article?
- Shoreline restoration work transition from Carole. Joe to contact Carole
MUSIC ON THE LAKE REPORT (MOTL) – Laura and Jenn
- Recap: event was a success! Attendees and band all had positive feedback
- Free and Easy has been secured for next year! Bookmark your calendar for Saturday June 28, 2025, the concert will go from 2-5pm
GRAFFIC TRAFFIC ONLINE STORE – Laura
- T-shirt sales update: all t-shirts sold except 2. Friday night selling by Sue and Meg was successful.
