Bald Eagle Area Association Board Meeting Minutes

  • Katie to send April and May meeting minutes for Carole to post to website

 

TREASURER’S REPORT by Jack Jungbauer

  • Joe has been added as a backup signer to checks.
  • Jack: Taxes filed waiting to be accepted.
  • CDs being monitored and renewed.

 

PRESIDENT’S REPORT- Meg Rapheal

  • Lake Delisting event: add to annual meeting
  • 2024 Annual meeting Oct 16 or 17
  • Milfoil treatment - Steve will provide a proposal to treat. Last time treated 2018.  Carole motioned allow up to $50K spending, all agreed.  Meg
  • Brad volunteered to shadow Rick Donovan on what we need to do for weed treatment and working with DNR.
  • Jack wrote statement on weed treatment planned. Board approved and shared on Facebook, Instragram , and email.
  • Art crawl on Bald Eagle – they are doing all the work. Opportunity for people to have stands in the yards
    • BEAA can help them advertise through FB, Insta, mail chimp
    • Yard signs – Meg will connect
    • Can they use bald eagle logo for their flyers – board agreed not to share logo and tax ID
    • If people donate to cover costs and if extra, can they donate to us?

 

VICE-PRESIDENT’S REPORT- Joe Boeser

  • Lake association outreach for involvement: Joe will reach out between May 1-15 to lake associations.
  • Discuss summary of actions BEAA has taken to get to a delisting status. Minnesota Bound article?
  • Shoreline restoration work transition from Carole. Joe to contact Carole

 

MUSIC ON THE LAKE REPORT – Laura and Jenn

  • July 6
  • Sue verified with Bart that he is donating Biffy’s and Jersey Mike Subs!
  • 3 prong extension cords needed. Brad will provide.
  • All board members 10 am setup, band 2-5.
  • Meg will bring a tent
  • Jenn to pick up generator.
  • Laura and Jenn gather volunteers to pass donations cards, Jonny pops, and t-shirts.
    • Laura to create Venmo scan laminated cards
  • Laura posted signs around the lake
  • Meg and Sue: T-shirts and dry bags sell Friday night at Meg’s house

 

GRAFFIC TRAFFIC ONLINE STORE – Laura

  • T-shirts are here, will sit and sell music day.
  • Laura to post t-shirts and dry bags for sale.

 

7:20 pm Sue motioned to adjourn.  Carole seconded
